Trooper was found by a caring person when he was five weeks of age. Trooper was laying in a ditch, covered in ants, emaciated from not eating, his back left leg was severely broken, and he had a large gash in his abdomen exposing his intestines. When this loving person too him to the vet, the vet told her the puppy would not survive. She refused to give him up on him and Trooper's strong spirit wouldn't let him give up on himself. His leg healed and he can't bend it normally but it doesn't slow this happy boy down. He has grown into a beautiful dog both inside and out. The family would have loved to keep him forever but their circumstances changed so they were forced to bring him to the SPCA to give him another 'second chance' at a loving forever home. Trooper is still young, loves to play, and loves attention from all of our volunteers. If you are looking for a 'special dog', Trooper would be a wonderful choice.
